Quilt Wrestling

I'm currently finishing the quilting on the largest project I've made in quite a long time.  It's  an 80" square.

I could have made it smaller, certainly.  But I  really liked the pattern.  And I couldn't resist the 10" borders, with an opportunity to use that nice bright ------

HUH?!!!!!

WHAT?!!!!!

See that nice green border?

Except it's not green.

In Real Life, it's a nice deep turquoise, like a beautiful sky blue.  How did this happen?  What's wrong with my camera?  Ack.  This is a shock.

Well, getting back to what this post is SUPPOSED to be about:

This quilt was not the nuisance to manage that I thought it would be.  As you can see, I put my ironing board directly to the left of the sewing machine table to hold up the quilt and keep it from dragging.  This worked really well, especially when working on those borders (which are actually blue.  Really!)

So this quilt ended up going much faster and easier than I had anticipated.  This is the first bed size quilt that I've done commercially.  Perhaps I need to think about doing more of them!
