A Sewing Frenzy

I was off from orchestra work this week, so the past few days have evolved into what could best be described as a sewing frenzy.

First up:  a little custom work.  A friend of mine in the orchestra has handmade soup bowls to give for Christmas presents, and thought it would be nice if they were presented with handmade placemats.

This set is for her brother and his wife, whose decor was described to me as "colonial".

This pair is for her dad, who is also a musician.

I've had that dark brown music print for a long time, and I've always loved it!

Cutest Christmas fabric that I've seen this season:  "Merry Main Street" by Alexander Henry.  I saw it at Joann's and Had To Have It.  I  love the retro look!

I couldn't decide on yellow borders or gray, so these placemats for my Etsy store got both colors.

Shoppers at upcoming live events that I'm doing will undoubtedly by looking for stocking stuffers, so I made rug mugs out of the leftovers.

Also:  a few Office Lunch Sets

Lastly:  I've had string of custom quilt orders come in during the last few weeks, 2 T shirt quilts and 2 "normal" (for lack of a better term) quilts.  More on those later--

But I started on the first of the T shirt quilts, all from the customer's years of family vacation/reunions.

I'm going to use the "Salt Air" collection from Moda, which I think is going to look fantastic for this project!
