You just never know what the day will bring.
After a long, note-y day at work, I was so surprised to get a sweet little note from Lindsey, saying how much she liked my Etsy store.
She was particularly inspired by the Selvage Bath Mat.
So much so that she blogged about it!
You can read her post here: http://tidbitsparenting.blogspot.com/2011/03/mission-craft-possible-quilted-bath-mat.html
Her post was educational reading for me. I never knew that wine, hair dye, and bathroom accessories could be such a potentially dangerous combination. But how nice that she's going to use the "recycle and reuse" concept to fix her bath mat, rather than just throw it away and get a new one. Good luck Lindsey!
I'm having a busy stretch of weeks at work, so unfortunately haven't had as much quilting time as I would like. However, I did recently finish a Bohemian Baby quilt, the fourth in a series!
I particularly like the color combination on this one.
That lime green is kind of neat with the other colors.
And it has a Very Special Back: Jelly Beans!
Also complete, another set of selvage placemats. I had last done a set of these last fall, and had been thinking for awhile it was time to do another set. Then, about 2 weeks ago, another Etsy seller contacted me and asked me if I was going to make more of these!
I don't know if she's going to buy them or not. But it doesn't matter. It was fun to make these again.
Just a couple more busy orchestra weeks and then I will have some time off, and time to implement some of the ideas for quilts and other items that have been banging away inside my head!
I love, love, love the placemats! If you don't mind, may I copycat them?
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in the 4th Bohemian quilt. The placemats are as cute as can bd!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice mention! And for the great ideas! I'm kind of in love with your life of music and quilting and seaside living! We're going to start our lil guy on the piano (Suzuki method I think) when he turns 3. Music was never emphasized when I was little, but my husband plays several instruments and I so look forward to encouraging our son to pursue his musical interests too. Thanks again - your quilts are gorgeous!!
