Fall Placemats

GO! Fall Medley

Over the last couple of years, I've made quite a few table runners using the "Autumn Medley" Accuquilt Go die.

I think it might be my favorite!

But it suddenly occurred to me that, for some reason, I had never used it for placemats.

Time to get busy.

I like how this set goes together but doesn't match.

I did the quilting on the HQ Sweet 16, which went incredibly fast!

Because of the orientation of the machine, there's no time spent stopping and adjusting the fabric like there is on a regular sewing machine-- just sit down, quilt the whole thing without stopping and move on to the next one.

A seasonal calico is on the back.

As long as I had the Accuquilt out, and was in the mood for applique, I started a Christmas table runner.

I had bought this die set several months ago but hadn't even opened the package.

That snowflake looks pretty neat in that gold metallic fabric!

It looks like a trip to the fabric store for some metallic applique thread is on my schedule for tomorrow!
