Getting things done

I'm working my way through my Summer Quilting To-Do List.  First was the Christmas Quilt.  Well, if I'm making items that are ridiculously Out of Season, the next logical step was something for Fall.

I really love the leaf shapes on the "Autumn Medley" die for the Accuquilt Go cutter, so this was a perfect opportunity to use it.

And of course, anything that uses scraps and small pieces is always a welcome project!

This is fused applique.  Iron the fusible to the wrong side of the fabric BEFORE running it through the Accuquilt cutter, then peel off the paper backing and iron the shape to the base fabric.

I used a narrow zig zag stitch around the leaves, which gives it a little bit of texture.  Then I free-motioned a meandering stitch all over.  So there you have the Autumn Leaves Table Runner!

I'm getting really excited about a quilt show this weekend!  Here's a little tease:

I WISH I had made this quilt!

  1. Fall is my favorite season and with the wicked heat/humidity we've been having I can't wait for the cool, crisp days ahead. What a pretty table runner. Good idea to craft early. I wish I was that organized!
