A Fast Finish

I'm going to be really busy with orchestra work from now until the season ends next month so I wanted to push to finish the 3 Dudes Quilt. (Click here and here for background on this project, and here for the video on the strip piecing method for this quilt.)

I'm still deciding what to name it.

Eye Jiggler Lap Quilt?

Possible Migraine Inducer?

Now don't get me wrong-- I absolutely love this quilt!  But it might be a little bright for some.  Not for me, though.

With a pattern this busy, I think a simple quilting pattern is best.  So I just did a straight line, diagonal grid pattern going from corner to corner, so the borders got quilted along with the body of the quilt.  Very fast and easy.

I chose this modern calico for the back.

Next project:  a table runner made out of the leftovers from this quilt!
